Taria Dares You to Ditty! Come enjoy a musical workshop with Taria Person, “The Realest Person.” Be prepared to write your own short poem that is meant to be sung and/or or rapped. You will have the chance to share your work with other LGBT+ young writers from the area, as well as enjoy some refreshments. Register in advance. Space is limited. This workshop is open to youth 18 and under only.
Write with Pride aims to create safe, supportive spaces where Middle Tennessee LGBT+ youth can write and share to process experiences, shape identity, and build community as they come of age; equip Middle Tennessee LGBT+ youth with the skills to represent their experiences and advocate for themselves through public presentations at events, open mics, and conferences; and host an annual conference centered around writing and sharing where they can build community, celebrate their lives, and learn from each other and leaders in the field of LGBT+ youth development.
