This workshop features but is not limited to: discussion around culture and poetry\, writing prompts\, writing time\, and performance practice. Whether you are already a writer or have never written anything that wasn’t assigned at school\, Power of the Pen shows how writing and speaking your truth changes the life opportunities available to you. Youth interested in performing with Southern Word at feature events should participate in this series. Open to youth ages 13 to 19.
