Attendees will still have the chance to engage with\, learn about\, and uplift Southern Word’s efforts placing writer and music mentors in classrooms\, libraries\, and community organizations.The lunch will feature our fourth annual poetry slam where representatives from event partners will step behind the mic at Acme Feed & Seed to build community\, create connections through the sharing of their thoughts\, and possibly be named slam champion of the Nashville area business universe. Participation in the poetry slam is encouraged\, but it is not essential for taking part in the afternoon’s activities. It wasn’t until he reached the age of 9\, during his time in TX\, that his passion for music began to flourish\, with dance emerging as his chosen medium for expression. \nAs a dedicated member of Studio One\, Academy of Villains\, theSQUAD\, and Funkywunks\, Hew honed his skills as a professional hip hop dancer\, gracing stages and competing. However\, his journey took a new turn when he relocated to Nashville\, redirecting his focus towards music production. Here\, he blended nostalgic melodies with contemporary hip hop elements\, becoming a pivotal figure in the city’s songwriting community. \nBeyond his live performances\, Hew’s talents have also extended to the screen\, with several sync placements on major networks\, TV shows\, and commercials. His music has been featured in popular series like Empire\, All American\, Hawaii 5-0\, Harlem\, and a national Pizza Hut commercial\, further cementing his impact on both the music and entertainment industries.
