Write with Pride

Join the new Write with Pride co-coordinator Taria Person for this year’s kickoff workshop. In addition to being a regional Spoken Word and Hip-Hop Slam Champion, Taria is an actress, poetry book author, and visual artist. They are a graduate of Maplewood High School and University of Tennessee – Knoxville. In this first workshop, Taria is going to lead the group in self-publishing an affirmation and self-expression Zine, with the hopes of uplifting participants and their communities. This will include Neurographic Art, which is a meditative art form that uses an algorithm to shift a person’s level of stress. This workshop will be held virtually and in person at Nashville Peacemakers.

As always, our goal is to build community, connection, and new possibility through writing and sharing. Register to start building with us this year.
