The Mic is Open

It’s the start of a new school year and new season of writing. Share what you’ve been working on over the summer or step up to the mic with a first draft. This is not the place for perfection.

Whether it’s your first or millionth time taking the stage, there is no better place to share your voice than with this supportive community of writers, poets, and artists.

Join us Thursday, September 29 at 4pm at the Nashville Public Library’s Studio NPL for the first Southern Word Open Mic of the school year! Open to youth ages 13 to 18. Pizza will be served.
