ABOUT LIVE BEATS LAB: MUSIC PRODUCTION & VOCALS
Live Beats Lab is a chance for adult musicians and producers to develop their ability to integrate live instrumentation with digital audio workstations and contemporary music production techniques. During these sessions, the Nashville Public Library and Southern Word have been welcoming a range of musicians from beginners trying to access the world of computer-based music production to more seasoned producers looking for new inspiration or ways to upgrade their capabilities. Participants are welcome to bring their own preferred musical gear or utilize provided technology. This program combines two-hour classes on Fridays from 3:30 – 5:30pm followed by a three-hour music lab on Saturdays from 10:30 – 1:30pm. Both sessions occur at Madison Branch Library. Participants should be 18 years or older and are encouraged to attend the entire 7-week series to experience the full impact.
