A Celebration of Writing with Khalil Ekulona & NSA

February 11 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm CST

Join Khalil Ekulona and the Writers of NSA as they share their writing on Wednesday, February 11, at Nashville School of the Arts.

Khalil Ekulona’s personal life has been shaped by a diverse set of experiences and influences. Born in New Jersey and raised in Maryland, he moved around a lot during his formative years. Ekulona’s journey included various professional paths, from being a politician to working in hip-hop, education, and television. His experiences have equipped him with the skills to be a successful host and communicator.

After moving to Nashville in 2021, Ekulona quickly became part of the local community, meeting many wonderful people and forming lifelong friendships. He has been a voice for the Tennessee Voices, discussing the importance of local, national, and global politics, as well as the personal and shared histories of the community.

Ekulona’s decision to step away from his role as host of “This Is Nashville” after three years was a significant decision, reflecting his desire to apply the collective wisdom of Nashville and Middle Tennessee to his own life. He aims to use his experiences to help humanity and the planet, embodying his sign-off “Be Good to Each Other”.

Registration is encouraged but not required.
