A Celebration of Writing with Grey and Katy

April 8 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm CDT

Join Grey, Katy, and the Writers of NSA as they share their writing on Wednesday, April 8, at Nashville School of the Arts.

Katy Mortimer is an 18 year old emerging poet, who focuses on themes such as mental health, body image, and grief. As a young writer, her poetry primarily serves as a form of catharsis. She has competed nationally twice, most noticeably taking BNV finals stage in 2024 as part of team Southern Word.

Grey Warren is a well-established poet, performing twice at the national slam festival in addition to performances around Middle Tennessee. She has placed 1st twice in a row at the Coffee County Slam, 2nd & 3rd at the Tennessee Slam, and 3rd at the national level. She’s been invited to perform for the NAMI Annual Conference, the Southern Festival of Books and TEDxNashville. Driven by both the beauty of the world and the depths of the mind, Grey fuses light and dark to create a unique perspective on some heavy topics.

Registration is encouraged but not required.
