2023 Tennessee Grand Slam Finals

Join us for this year’s Tennessee Grand Slam Finals on April 22 at 6pm as the region’s top youth poets, emcees, and spoken word artists compete for their personal growth, a more powerful young writer community, top lyrical honors, and a chance to participate in the national teen slam in San Francisco this July.

Southern Word creates a platform for youth to speak about the real hopes and challenges of their lives. Discretion is advised for this event as some material may be unsuitable for young children.
