A Reading with Jacquelyn Swift

Join Southern Word and the writers of the Nashville School of the Arts for a reading with Jacquelyn Swift. J. Swift is a 25 year old poet, speaker, and author. She is currently pursing an MFA in Creative Writing at Sewanee University. Swift is the author of the self-help poetry book “Monsters: Poetry on How to Bite Back,” and creator of the workshops series “Fangs: Take a Bite out of your Stage Fright,” teaching people how to discover their stage legs and find their voice on paper. Previously, she led a poetry workshop series titled “Poetry Bites Back” for students at Sewanee, TSU, and MTSU. Swift has been a teaching artist with Southern Word and is an active performance poet in Southeastern Tennessee.
