Music Creator Fellowship Program

In partnership with the Nashville Public Library’s Studio NPL, Southern Word is offering four paid fellowships for music creators, ages 18 to 23, to produce music this spring. A team of four selected music creators will meet weekly at the downtown Nashville Public Library to collaborate and to generate musical contents for a range of purposes. The Nashville Public Library’s Studio NPL has an audio production suite that will be made available to participants along with support from a professional music mentor.

All fellows will receive $750 for their participation in all sessions. Compensation will be pro-rated if individual sessions are missed.

Fellows will meet for 2 hours, 1pm-3pm CT, every Friday from February 9 thru April 26 excluding March 15. Fellows will also be excepted to participate in a performance on May 3. (Fellowship dates: Feb 9, Feb 16, Feb 23, Mar 1, Mar 8, Mar 22, Mar 29, Apr 5, Apr 12, Apr 19, and Apr 26. Performance: May 3)

All fellowship sessions will be held at the Nashville Public Library (615 Church Street Nashville, TN 37219).
